FOR TRAVEL PROFESSIONALS
Travel co-creation in Japan
Your travel expertise. Our local knowledge of Japan.
Do you have an idea for a new journey, a specific client profile, or a new Japan product you would like to develop?
Nature and… works alongside travel agencies to transform an initial idea into a feasible, distinctive travel experience tailored to their clients.
You keep your client relationship, your identity and your own approach to travel design.
We become your local partner in Japan.
Creating a journey is about more than combining travel services
Designing a trip to Japan involves much more than selecting hotels, transportation and a few sightseeing experiences.
You need to identify the right local contacts, understand what is genuinely feasible on the ground, anticipate local constraints and build an experience that makes sense both for the traveller and for the agency selling it.
Nature and… supports you throughout this process from Japan.
We can become involved from the earliest research stage or join an existing project to develop specific destinations, experiences or services.
A journey built together
You bring
- your understanding of your travellers;
- your positioning and brand identity;
- your expertise in travel design;
- your initial ideas or existing itinerary;
- your commercial requirements.
Nature and… brings
- our local knowledge of Japan;
- our network of local professionals;
- research into places and experiences;
- feasibility checks;
- communication with Japanese suppliers;
- local coordination of the selected services.
Our role is not to replace your work as a travel designer. We provide the local knowledge and resources you need to take your Japan offering further.
From your first idea to a concrete experience
Depending on your project, Nature and… can support you in the following areas.
Local experiences
Research into activities, places and encounters that match the profile of your travellers.
Artisans and specialists
Identification of professionals, artisans, experts and local contacts who may be difficult to find from abroad.
Suitable guides
Research into English-Speaking guides or French-speaking guides suited to the level of service, theme and client profile.
Itineraries
Creation or improvement of specific stages of your journey in Japan.
Logistics
Review of transportation, timings, distances and operational constraints required to make the programme work smoothly.
Local coordination
Communication with Japanese partners and preparation of the selected services.
Alternatives
Research into suitable alternatives when the original idea is not feasible.
Special Requests
Tailored research when a journey requires a particular type of expertise or local contact.
A great idea also has to work on the ground
An experience may look perfect online but become much more complicated once it needs to be integrated into a real itinerary.
Limited availability, seasonality, capacity, difficult access, language barriers, specific booking conditions or timing constraints can significantly affect a programme.
Because we work directly from Japan, we can check these factors in advance.
This helps reduce unnecessary research, avoid unexpected problems after the trip has been sold and simplify communication with multiple local contacts.
Create journeys that reflect your identity
Every travel agency has its own clientele and its own way of introducing Japan.
We therefore do not believe in offering the same programme to everyone.
Nature, craftsmanship, gastronomy, gardens, architecture, traditional culture, professional encounters, rural Japan or contemporary Japan: we research the places, partners and experiences that best match the product you want to develop.
The goal is to build an offer with a clear purpose and a genuine place in your portfolio.

Develop today the journeys you will sell tomorrow
Co-creation becomes particularly valuable when the work carried out today can be reused for future travellers. Together, we can develop several types of travel products.
An itinerary
A complete journey or part of an itinerary that has already been researched and checked locally.
A travel module
A few hours or several days of travel content that can be integrated into different itineraries.
An experience
An activity or encounter specifically designed to suit your target clientele.
Once the foundation has been created, it can then be adapted for different travellers who book the journey. For future departures, Nature and… can continue to coordinate the local services entrusted to us in Japan.

A local network across Japan
Nature and… is based in Kyoto and works with a growing network of professionals across different regions of Japan. We currently offer our services in Tokyo, the Kansai region, as well as Hiroshima and Miyajima.
We work with professional guides, including many nationally licensed interpreter-guides, as well as local suppliers and other specialists.
Depending on the project, we look for the most appropriate solution in the destination itself rather than automatically bringing a supplier in from Tokyo or Kyoto.
This allows us to consider projects throughout Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa.
You remain the main contact for your travellers
Nature and… primarily works on a B2B basis.
Your agency retains the commercial relationship with your travellers, your identity and overall control of the project.
We act as your local partner for the missions entrusted to us: research, preparation, coordination and organisation of local services in Japan.
We can work on a single part of a journey or contribute to a broader travel project.
How does travel co-creation work?
1. Tell Us About Your Project
Client profile, regions, duration, theme, level of comfort or simply an initial idea.
2. We Define The Needs Together
We identify the parts of the project that require local research, verification or support.
3. We Work Locally In Japan
We research solutions, contact the relevant local partners and check feasibility.
4. We Refine The Journey With You
We adjust our proposals according to your clientele, positioning and feedback.
5. The Project Becomes Operational
Once the solutions have been selected, we can coordinate the Japanese services entrusted to us.

Examples of travel co-creation
A journey around Japanese craftsmanship
Identify artisans, workshops and local encounters to build a coherent itinerary around Japanese craftsmanship and know-how.
Nature and rural Japan
Develop stages outside the major tourist centres while checking transportation, local support and the operational feasibility of the programme.
A themed journey for a specific clientele
Develop a programme around a particular interest such as gardens, architecture, photography, gastronomy or another area of expertise valued by your travellers.
Every project is different. We therefore adapt our involvement to the level of research and coordination genuinely required.
